Harry Plotter

Harry Plotter is a Chia plot manager that enables you to create plot files that can be later harvested. More often than not, plotting requires a relatively large amount of temporary space that is larger than the actual plot file. Consequently, selecting the temporary space for it is an important decision.

Given the role of the tool, the question of security and privacy are natural. According to the developer, the app can automatically import users' public keys, but it does not read or touch them. Moreover, it does not really need access to any key to perform the plotting operation. In case the machine does not include any keys, then a workaround would be to add 2 public keys, usually the farmer and pool public key.

Once the keys are imported, users can start creating multiple plot jobs that they can perform in parallel. The app supports staggering, so users can create them in the order they want them to run and set the timer. Moreover, the program is smart enough to start a plot once a certain phase is complete (such as reaching a maximum number of jobs running for each phase and not queueing after that limit, for instance).

The advantage of the tool is that it can save the plotting configuration between sessions and, once closed, it can auto-clean all temporary files. The latter feature can be a life saver, as some users accidentally clear their plots at the end of the session.
