DMCA Policy
UPDOV respects intellectual property rights and responds to notices that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512).
1) Scope
UPDOV is a software catalog. We do not host cracked software or license keys. Our pages
provide descriptive information and may link to official publisher sites or mirrors.
If you believe material on our site infringes your copyright, send a valid DMCA notice.
2) How to send a DMCA notice
Your notice must include all elements required by 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3):
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, including exact UPDOV URL(s).
- Your full name, company (if applicable), mailing address, phone, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
3) Counter-notification
If you believe your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification pursuant to 17 U.S.C. §512(g). It must include:
- Your name, address, phone number, and email.
- Identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared before removal (exact UPDOV URL).
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., for any judicial district in which UPDOV may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Send your counter-notice to: [email protected]
4) Our process
- Upon receiving a valid notice, we may remove or disable access to the identified material.
- We notify the user who posted the material, when applicable.
- If we receive a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the complainant and restore the material in 10–14 business days unless we are informed that a court action has been filed.
5) Repeat infringer policy
In appropriate circumstances, UPDOV may terminate or restrict accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
6) Misrepresentation
Be aware that misrepresentations in a DMCA notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees (17 U.S.C. §512(f)).
